Cross-ice is designed to be a fun entry point for young kids to learn hockey. This program is for kids with birth years of 2016 and 2017. At the first practice, they should be able to stand on the ice comfortably by themselves and skate down the length of the ice at least once by themselves. While we love to teach kids how to skate, having some sort of foundation is important for your child as they get out there. If you need a program to have your player learn how to skate, we have friends at learn to skate programs that specialize in giving them a skating foundation. Registration fee is $1,250 for the season.

Hingham Youth Hockey views Mite-House as one of the most fun years. This level is for players with birth years of 2014 and 2015. It’s similar to Cross-Ice where we focus on skills in small groups, but an increased emphasis on games and competition within the Hingham Youth Hockey program. In this year, families will not travel to other towns to play, but all games will be held in Hingham at Pilgrim. Registration fee is $1,750 for the season.
