CROSS ICE COORDINATOR

Welcome To HYH Cross Ice 2020-21 Season

Hello Hingham Youth Hockey Parents:

We are excited for the upcoming cross ice season!  For those of you who are still deciding to sign up your son or daughter for cross ice - its never too late.

I hope this email finds everyone doing well. To allow kids to play other town sports throughout the fall, we will once again plan on starting our season after Columbus Day this year.  Tentatively, we will be holding evaluations on Saturday, October 17th and/or Sunday, October 18th at Pilgrim.  If your child cannot attend the evaluations, they will still be placed on a team.

Below is what we expect the schedule to look like during the season:

1. Saturday, Game at either 9:15 am, 10:15 am, 11:15 am or 12:15 pm at Pilgrim Arena (Hingham)
2. Sunday, Practice at either noon, 1 pm or 2 pm at Pilgrim Arena (Hingham)
3. Monday, Skills Practice with O'Sullivan Hockey at 4:20 pm at Bavis Arena (Rockland)

We will also send out additional emails on free open skates we will offer for cross ice players who are registered to play and for kids who are new to hockey and would like to try one of our practices to see if they like it.  Please feel free to share this email with any of your friends who would like to learn more about the program or invite them to our free practices.

As a program, we take your child’s safety very seriously. As a result of COVID, we ask that you please have your child dressed before they get to the rink, and leave within 15 minutes after the practice or game.  In addition, all parents, coaches and children must wear a mask while in the rink.  Children will be required to wear a mask if they are on the benches but not while they are skating on the ice.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Steve
