LEARN TO SKATE

SATURDAYS 11:30-12:30

October – March

Pilgrim Arena (A-rink),

Hingham, MA

$50 Annual registration fee required for all children (no fee for parents)

($100 Max Registration Fee per Family)

And a $5 Weekly Fee required for all children

You can register at the rink during the Learn To Skate hour

Hingham Youth Hockey Learn To Skate Program is an hour of open ice provided for children who are novice ice skaters.  Parents are encouraged to put on your skates and show your children how to skate. 

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT (Sticks and Pucks are not allowed) 

• Helmet
• Gloves or Mittens
• Skates (no one is allowed on the ice without skates)

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

(Additional padding takes the fear out of falling)

• Knee Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Face shield for helmet (chin pad should rest on chin)
• Hockey Pants

What’s the next step after a year of Learn To Skate?

So your child has the skating bug and can’t wait to play some real hockey.  Then sign them up for the Hingham Youth Hockey Cross Ice Program.  The Cross Ice Program is typically for beginner hockey players between the ages of 5 and 7.  Registration occurs in the month of March.
